The person behind it
Meet Rian
Founder & creator of Gachi Studio
Hi, I'm Rian.
I graduated from a university in New York and earned a Master's in English Education from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. My focus was Technology & Materials — essentially, figuring out which tools and resources actually make language learning click. I also hold a Young Learner TESOL certification from Sookmyung Women's University and a Korean Language Teaching Certificate, Level 2.
After five years of pouring myself into English education, the question I keep coming back to is always the same: how do we make language learning feel less like a chore?
I've been running a blog for over five years, sharing classroom phrases, cultural stories, and language tips along the way. More recently I've been genuinely excited about how AI can change the way we learn languages — so that has been finding its way into the content too.
Teaching English gradually opened my eyes to a bigger goal: I want more people around the world to discover Korean. Gachi Studio is that space. There is a lot more coming.
