A few helpful notes

How do I print and use these?

Print in A4 portrait, or select “Fit to page” for another paper size. The stroke numbers, dots and arrows work in grayscale too. Choose a few letters at a time and practise in a separate notebook.

Are the 40 letters the same as 40 syllables?

No. Hangul letters combine into syllable blocks: ㄱ + ㅏ = 가. For a vowel at the beginning of a syllable, add silent ㅇ: ㅇ + ㅏ = 아. Romanization is a guide, so listen to Korean examples too.

Why do some guides count strokes differently?

This guide follows the Gachi writing model used in our practice app. Some handwriting styles join or separate strokes differently.

Can I use these in a class?

Yes, for personal study or classroom use. Keep the Gachi Korea credit and share this page’s link online. Please do not resell the PDFs.
